Butterflies

Standard

I think about you.

Do you think about me too?

In every whisper I hear

And every sound the world makes,

I see you and smile
You make me look forward to more,

To hope for more.

I dare to dream of a bigger picture.

Do stay and remind me

Of what love feels like.
You have enchanted me.

I don’t want to be cured.

You light up my world,

Giving me cause to love my creator.
With you is where I always want to be.

Forever and a day more,

Till we meet again in heaven

Love is what you embody to me.

Like Her

Standard

I am just like her,

But I’m not her.

Yet I’m working towards becoming like her,

Even if it’s unconsciously.
He says a word but means another.

She knows his antics but keeps falling for all.

They say she’s foolish,

We all know she’s crazy (in lovst).
The birds will leave your nest again, dear daughter.

They will come once in a while to feed or ask for something,

But never expect them to stay forever.

They were never yours from the beginning.

*lovst: love and lust

WHAT’S MINE

Standard

These tales are mine to tell; For others to learn.

There’s something for everyone,

To pick from and work on.
These songs are mine to sing.

Sad and soulful, it may be,

But they are from the depths within.

Giving hope to someone else.
These journeys were mine to travel.

Life was precarious yet I trod on.

Until I got tired and switched lanes,

But the world still questioned my decision.
This life was never entirely mine.

For if it was, it may have been better that what it is now.

Yet, I still like the part of my story where we are,

And I cherish more,

The chapters that are yet to be written.

BLIND FAITH

Standard

Eyes have seen enough

Of good and evil,

Yet it continues to believe

That the next light will be

Blindingly good.
Ears have heard tales

Of shameful pasts

And confusing presents,

But it fails to go deaf.

Clearly expecting some new stories,

Of achievements beyond the mile.
This life has seen so much love and hate

With its share of betrayal,

Yet it dares to dream

Of an infinitesimal balance

THEIR TALE

Standard

He was born into a house

Where mommy loved daddy more,

And she paid for all because daddy couldn’t gave any.

Daddy left anyway and mommy died too
She was raised under a roof,

Where daddy was her hero but mommy was indifferent.

Mommy gave more attention to her outings and looks,

Spurred on by her friends.

Her daughter died deep within
Broken homes,

Selfish lives,

Why request for infinity

With that which you would tire of?
Someone else raises them.

Sometimes, they raise themselves.

Notable Characters.

Imperfectly perfect.
